Wage Hope Against Pancreatic Cancer

Kathleen O’Relly of PANCAN talks about the fight to end pancreatic cancer and the upcoming PurpleStride walk on Episode 10.
EPISODE TRANSCRIPT

Jobs.mom Founder & CEO Zabeen Mirza lost her father to pancreatic cancer when she was 11 years old. She recounts her story and sits down with Kathleen O’Reilly, Affiliate Associate Director of NY/NJ for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN) to talk about the upcoming PurpleStride walk, and how we can all work together to raise awareness to improve the tragic mortality rate of the disease.

In 2020, pancreatic cancer claimed the lives of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Alex Trebek, and Rep. John Lewis, among thousands of others. We sit down to talk about the impact of terminal illness on families, how caregivers can cope, and the support PANCAN commits to providing to survivors and victims.

On Saturday, April 24th, Purplestride – the Walk to End Pancreatic Cancer will be held virtually.
